Avara is shutting down

Avara goes offline on September 30, 2026.

Why

Too few teachers used Avara regularly for me to keep running it as a one-person project. That's not a criticism of anyone — it means I built the right thing for the wrong handful of people, or the wrong thing for the right ones. A clean ending beats a service that slowly rots.

What happens until then

Nothing changes before September 30, 2026. Public pages stay online, schedules keep syncing, and invoices stay available.

What you should do
  • Save your schedule. Download it as an ICS file under Classes → Calendar subscription.
  • Save your invoices. Download the PDFs under Invoices.
  • Remove the calendar subscription from your phone. Do this before September 30, 2026, otherwise your calendar app will keep showing sync errors afterwards.
  • Replace your public link. If it's in your Instagram bio or on your website, point it somewhere else in good time.
Your data

All personal data will be deleted on October 31, 2026. If you need something before then that you can't download yourself, email me and I'll get it to you.

If you follow a teacher here

From September 30, 2026 their schedule won't be available on Avara. The best move is to follow them directly through their own website or Instagram.
